GOLD TIER SUSTAINABILITY AWARD WINNER

EPA Electronics Challenge

TCL North America was privileged to be presented with the Gold Tier Award in 2018 and 2019 in the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Sustainable Materials Management (SMM) Electronics Challenge. Sponsored by the EPA, the SMM Electronics Challenge is an annual program recognizing electronics manufacturers that rethink business as usual and work to create innovative and responsible solutions. Companies honored in this program use their best efforts to send end-of-life electronics they collect from customers, retailers, and the general public to certified third-party electronics collectors and recyclers. These certifications, including R2 & e-Stewards®, are only awarded to organizations that meet the highest of industry standards.

EPA Award

TCL has built a reputation for introducing innovative and award-winning products and is increasingly recognized for its strong record of consistent and sustainable electronics recycling throughout the United States. Notably, 100% of the electronics collected in TCL-funded programs go to certified collectors and recyclers. Our Sustainability Program operates each day with the goal of protecting the environment and giving back to the communities that we serve.

Through 2019, TCL has aimed to double the number of pounds of electronics recycled year-over-year and is committed to going above and beyond to exceed expectations. TCL kicked off its initiative to raise awareness for the accessibility of electronics recycling in local communities in late 2019 with its inaugural event at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Los Angeles, and will be hosting other events across America in 2020 and beyond. We know that taking care of TCL’s growing and vibrant base of customers means we are with you for a lifetime of enjoyment from the moment you open the box. #TCLcares
