The TCL Roku TV lineup is best known for providing endless entertainment, but soon these TVs will be helping to improve the classroom experience at Westview Elementary in Apple Valley, Minnesota. Partnering with Tyus Jones and the Minnesota Timberwolves, TCL donated large screen 4K HDR Smart TVs to support education in the school’s new technology lab.

Jones, a point guard for the Timberwolves, unveiled the state-of-the-art technology lab today as part of his Write Your Own Story (WYOS) campaign. WYOS is Tyus’ personal mantra about controlling the things you can control in your life and working to be great at whatever path you choose. The technology lab is a place that Tyus hopes will inspire kids to learn how to write their own story and chase their dreams, no matter how big or small.

As a proud partner of the Timberwolves, TCL was excited to support this cause and donate 4K HDR Smart TVs. The 4-Series and C8-Series smart TVs will be used to enrich instruction within the lab and provide more interactive ways for teachers and students to collaborate.

Westview is a special beneficiary of Tyus’ efforts to give back. It was where the Minnesota-native went to elementary school as a child, precisely why the Timberwolves star was so eager to surprise the school with new graphics, fresh paint, as well as new technology.

TCL’s 4-Series and C8-Series TVs offers crisp 4K HDR picture performance for precise clarity and detail. The TVs also integrate advanced technology and features to provide students and teachers with an exceptional viewing experience, including endless streaming entertainment, fast dual-band wireless connections and three HDMI ports for flexibility. All models within the technology lab provide easy access to more than 5,000 streaming channels and 500,000+ movies and TV episodes through the built-in Roku operating system.

For TCL, the technology lab at Westview illustrates just a small part of #TCLcares, an initiative that ensures TCLers are creating a high-performing culture that allows the company to have a successful business they can feel good about. And in this instance, it’s also a way for TCL to support endless education.
