Rising Stars Jarvis Landry and Anthony Barr to Help Fans and their Charities Win 4K TVs Each Week

CORONA, Calif. - September 8, 2016 - TCL®, one of the world’s largest and America’s fastest-growing television brand, today announced it is giving away 4K TVs each week of the 2016 football season. The TCL 4K Football Challenge will feature Miami wide receiver Jarvis “Juice” Landry and Minnesota linebacker Anthony Barr, both helping their charities and select enthusiasts win 4K TVs by playing hard on the field. Each week TCL will choose a fan who has entered the promotion at www.TCL4KFootball.com. Landry or Barr will play for that winner who will automatically receive a 4K TCL TV along with the player’s charity, but their game time performance can get it upgraded to a 55” or 65” television.

“With a stunning picture and easy access to more pro and college football games than you can get on other smart TVs, our award-winning 4K TCL Roku TV is the perfect companion for fans who will be watching games in the comfort of their own home,” said Chris Larson, vice president of sales and marketing, TCL. “The 4K Football Challenge is a fun way to win our unmatched football viewing experience. No matter what size TV, fans who have cut the cord and want to stream their games—as well as those who want to maximize their cable or satellite subscriptions by retrieving more games—will love TCL’s lineup of 4K TVs.”

A second round draft pick in 2014, “Juice” Landry has quickly established himself as one of the best wide receivers in football, setting the league record for most receptions in the first two seasons of a career. His prolific receiving numbers can now help fans and his charity win big. If he is playing that week and garners 55 yards receiving or more in a game, the TV will be ‘Juiced Up’ to a 55” TCL 4K TV, and if Landry scores a touchdown, the fan and his charity event – the annual Jarvis Landry Give Back, where he donates backpacks filled with school supplies to disadvantaged youth from his hometown community in Louisiana – will score a 65” 4K TV.

“I’m pumped to give both my fans and my Give Back event a chance to win TCL 4K TVs throughout the season,” said Landry. “I appreciate the opportunity to partner with TCL and use my success on the field to support the work that I enjoy doing off the field.”

A consensus All-American in college, Anthony Barr was drafted 9th overall in the first round in 2014, and has become one of the best young linebackers in football. If he is playing that week and gets five or more tackles in the game, he’ll ‘Raise the Barr’ for your 4K Home Theatre experience to a 55” TCL TV and if he gets a quarterback sack, the fan and his charity – Raise the Barr- Powered by A.B.F, which helps single mothers pursue higher education – will receive a 65” 4K TV.

“I’ve been working extremely hard in the off-season and am excited to be a part of the TCL 4K Football Challenge,” said Barr. “I get to do what I love, while helping fans improve their game day experience with a TCL TV and benefitting the community with Raise the Barr - Powered by A.B.F.”

TCL’s 4K Roku TVs provide football fans with more options to catch all their favorite teams from home with special access to subscription services that provide out-of-market games, live and on-demand streaming through a cable or satellite provider, as well as free channels with sports highlights and live games for those without cable subscriptions. While some TV brands have decided to remove the tuner despite the value of accessing free broadcast TV, TCL TVs were designed with the cord cutter in mind so they include a TV tuner and offer access to popular network TV and live sports in high definition over the air at no additional cost.

In addition to the premium football lineup and content schedule, the award-winning 4K TCL Roku TV puts entertainment favorites in one place, allowing seamless access to broadcast TV, more than 3,000 streaming channels with 350,000 streaming movies and TV episodes, your gaming console, and other devices all from your personalized home screen.
