America’s Fastest-Growing Television Brand Adds Product Evangelism Role to Further Grow Brand Awareness and Customer Satisfaction

CORONA, CA – April 12, 2017 - TCL®, one of the world’s largest and America’s fastest growing television brands, today announced the appointment of Bruce Walker as Product Evangelist for its award-winning TCL Roku® TV lineup. As TCL aggressively climbs the ranks of the U.S.’s top television brands, Walker will play a vital role in educating consumers, retailers and employees about the unique differentiators and valuable benefits of TCL products, as well as the advanced television technologies that TCL will be bringing to market.

With more than 27 years of experience in the consumer electronics industry, Walker has extensive expertise in merchandising and layout, product training and marketing. For the past 10 years, Walker has held various training, sales and product positions at Toshiba America Information Systems, where he managed retailer and sales trainings, as well as new technology introductions and product launches before starting his own consultancy practice for product and sales training in the consumer electronics industry. Prior to that, Walker worked in retail for more than 10 years, where he was promoted from commissioned sales up to general manager in charge of designing two flagship stores.

“As TCL continues to expand its retailer presence and drive new TV technologies in North America, Bruce’s role is to ensure that our customers and partners are increasingly satisfied and loyal,” said Chris Larson, Senior Vice President, TCL. “TCL prides itself on delivering best-in-class products to our customers, and we are now at the point where we need to elevate our product evangelism with every audience, including our internal staff, our retailer partners and, most importantly, our consumers. With Bruce’s extensive experience as national spokesperson and product trainer, coupled with his strong leadership and teamwork skills, he is the perfect addition to help take TCL’s product storytelling to the next level.”

With the enormous success of the TCL Roku TV™, TCL has been America’s fastest-growing television brand the past three years based on year-over-year growth and sales. The TCL Roku TV lineup has been awarded several industry accolades from leading product reviews at PCMag.com, Reviewed.com and USA Today, enabling the cord-cutting movement and providing a premier smart television experience. Today, TCL Roku TVs offer access to more than 4,500 streaming channels and 450,000+ movies and television episodes.

“In running my consultancy practice for the past two years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with TCL, and I can say, without hesitation, this company not only has the leading smart TV product on the market, but also the strongest team of marketing, product and sales professionals,” said Walker. “I am thrilled to join this team as we launch advanced technologies like Dolby Vision™, and to have the opportunity to continue to drive TCL’s success in the consumer electronics industry—making TCL one of the world’s premier consumer brands.”
